A dynamic community enterprise serving the people of Llangynfelyn parish and the wider area. Right on the A487 at Tre'r Ddol, Siop Cynfelyn also serves as a tourist 'gateway' to Ceredigion. As well as promoting the Welsh character and produce of the area, we also provide all the day-to-day essentials like bread, milk and newspapers. We also have a great café with home-made food, delicious cakes, the best coffee around, and of course a friendly welcome.
Celf Cletwr is a group of five women artists. Although we have known each other for some time, the decision to form a group and to take part in the Ceredigion Art Trail came from working together in the Cletwr project that runs Siop Cynfelyn, the community shop and cafe at Tre'r Ddôl. Over the last year the community business has developed and grown into a real shared venture. Most of the artists in Celf Cletwr work as volunteers in Siop Cynfelyn and have played an important part in setting up the business.
We’re still looking for more volunteers to help serve behind the counter, stock the shelves, make cups of coffee and generally look after our customers – both local and visitors.
If you think you can spare some time, or you have friends or family who would like to become volunteers, then please get in touch with us! You can either fill in this form,
or phone 07984631949.
Help get Siop Cynfelyn on its feet and save money to spend at the same time!!!
You can still help us to fund the shop through our reverse credit scheme. You can do this by putting money onto the card - and then spending it when you come in to buy your groceries. This 'Reverse Credit Plan' - is a scheme that has been widely used in other community shops.
We are asking people to commit to giving a minimum of £40 but it can be more. Click here to find out how YOU can help and for an application form.
